Steak Nachos
Steak Nachos
Ingredients
- 2 NY strip steaks
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1/2 tablespoon oil (for searing)
- 1/2 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1/2 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1/2 sweet onion, sliced
- Tortilla chips (recipe here)
- Queso (recipe here)
- Guacamole
- Pico de gallo
- Sour cream
- Jalepenos
Instructions

Prepare the Steak
- Season both sides of the NY strip steaks with salt and black pepper.
- Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat with a little oil.
- Sear the steaks until they develop a nice crust
- Remove from the skillet and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before chopping them into bite-sized pieces.

Sauté the Peppers & Onions
- In the same, add the sliced green and red bell peppers and sweet onion.
- Sauté over medium heat until softened and slightly caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove from the pan and set aside.

Assemble the Nachos
- Arrange homemade tortilla chips on a large plate or sheet pan.
- Drizzle with queso
- Scatter the chopped steak and sautéed peppers and onions over the chips.
- Top with guacamole, pico de gallo, sour cream, and jalepenos.
